The Theory and Nature of God
The Theory and Nature of God.
This is ANOTHER blog entry that was inspired this time by site member/visitor (Andy) and is on the subject of the THEORY of GOD.
It is written in tandum with my other blog (see my sig), as I feel that the individual's "inner person" needs to change also otherwise there will be too much conflict and division resulting in failure. I will in this entry try to point to a possible harmonious solution that will act as a guide for the creation of an enjoyable peaceful life.
I was reading a post of Andy's last night (oops, this morning) where he stated after mentioning "thinking outside the box":
God made people.
As usual, I found myself getting wound up by the finality of such a statement.
What do you mean "God made people"? How is this "God" defined? How can you say that with such authority.? Ahhhrrgh!!!!
The way that "God" is defined changes the whole feel and meaning of the statement.
What if we actually do leave the box and not just poke our heads out?...maybe even realise what the box ultimately is?!
So...just popping out for a moment...
Here is Andy's post:
Andy wrote:- You think out of the box David, lets try this one on for size!
God made people
people made religion
Fell out about who's religion owned God
Wrote books and ended up believing in books instead of God
Now they are convincing the World that lots of people must die to prove their book is the real religion and not another book.
Sounds good?
A THEORY of God:
It is generally accepted that God created everything.
Assuming that that statement is correct then there can be nothing (or no thing) BUT God.
We know that there are atoms (whatever they are) and there is space (whatever that is).
Without one there is no other--take all the space from an atom and what are you left with?...and vice verser.
There is intelligence and energy(...again, whatever that is).
As human beings we know and have studied these things. They are real to us.
The atoms, the space, energy and the intelligence, collectively ARE God.
Over (space)time, God grew/evolved/morphed into people (and EVERYTHING else of course).
People made a collective assumption about what God is.
[and the rest of Andy's post:]
people made religion
Fell out about who's religion owned God
Wrote books and ended up believing in books instead of God
Now they are convincing the World that lots of people must die to prove their book is the real religion and not another book.
[end]
I honestly haven't included Andy's post to cause him/you harm, only as a demonstration piece to show where I'm coming from with this, (in fact I am VERY grateful to him because this has given me the opportunity to put my thoughts on this subject in some sort of order and give me a better understanding) but I will ask the question:
"if my theory of God is correct then wouldn't the content of the post be redundant?"
This theory can be arrived at using logical thought processes and a little intelligence, and that is that WE ARE GOD, or to be more accurate EVERYTHING is God.
In CHOOSING to look at what God is in this way, would we be living in a world of such conflict and suspicion?
Would it radically change EVERYTHING that we believe about ourselves and the world around us?
Would we need Commercial Redemption? ;)
If human kind is to change for the better, then we also need to change our core beliefs as to who and/or what we are.
Which theory of God is the most plausible based on the senses and experience?
Which theory of God is the most beneficial to ALL?
The current THEORY of God is illogical and is NOT working.
