TPUC Gathering

As some of you may have noticed the advert for  the Tpuc Gathering has been removed from the front page, the reason for this is that the event has now been CANCELLED!!

The reason for this may be apparent to those who frequent the forum and whom have witnessed a lot of differing opinions and negativity .

The reason why we have held these events before is simply to bring people together to form friendships, discuss subjects they feel they cannot do with those closest to them whom may not hold the same views or opinions on such matters. Many people have come along as they feel alienated from their families and friends and feel alone and are seeking to be accepted by like- minded people.

There have been many people who have complained about having to pay for the event , however the cost of the gathering was set at a fare price and kept to a bare minimum and when you take into account  that a meal was provided and children go free you can’t get much better value for a weekend away for £15.

Also one of the main complaints was the exclusion of Alcohol and it is very sad that some people have made such a fuss about this. However Tpuc gatherings have always been an alcohol free event and if members had a problem with this then they had the choice not to attend, and there is nothing stopping them from organising an event of their own where alcohol could be consumed.

The lovely people who very  kindly allowed us the use of their land have been reading the forum and because of all the negativity they have said that they do not wish to go ahead with this gathering, and we respect their wishes and fully appreciate this.

Our apologies to all who were looking forward to this event !

Reflection....

Take a look at the bigger picture.... there are thousands of people in the world, whom are losing their homes and lives through flood, famine and war through no fault of their own, they would give anything to have a safe place to stay, a meal and compassion from others .

We are very fortunate and yet we complain about the most trivial things!! Humanity has much to remember! 

On a positive note....

Some members of the forum recently got together and had their own gathering which by all accounts was very successful and a good time was had by all who attended, maybe this will spur others on to doing the same, keep an eye out on the forum for members having their own gatherings which you may like to attend.
